Erectile dysfunction medications took in Glengormley

Large of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of Health authorities during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A guy was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medications via the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.

"These types of products being offered, generally online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their safety.

"You merely do not know what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More notably, you do not understand the impact drugs like this may have on your health."
